Overview
HSLA0001 is an independent software studio based in New York City. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information across this website and our apps and services, including Binary (together, the "Services").
We build software with privacy as a default. We collect as little as possible, and several of our products collect nothing at all. Where an individual product has its own privacy policy, that policy governs the product.
Information We Collect
We aim to collect the minimum necessary. Depending on how you use the Services, this may include:
- Information you provide. For example, if you email us, the contents of your message and your email address.
- Usage and device data. Aggregate analytics about how our website is used (such as page views and general device or browser type), collected through third-party analytics. This is not used to personally identify you.
- Purchase data. Binary purchases are handled by our payment provider. We receive limited order information (such as your email address, for delivery and updates) and never see your payment details.
- Product content. Binary runs on your machine. Your code, your App Store Connect key, and your app's data stay with you; nothing passes through our servers.
We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
How We Use Information
- To operate, maintain, and improve the Services.
- To deliver your purchase and the updates included with it.
- To respond to your questions and support requests.
- To understand, in aggregate, how the website is used.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
How We Share Information
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share information only:
- With service providers who help us run the Services (such as hosting, payments, and analytics), bound by confidentiality.
- To comply with the law or respond to lawful requests.
- To protect the rights, safety, and property of HSLA0001, our users, or the public.

Third-Party Services
Binary works with Apple's App Store Connect API using credentials you generate in your own Apple Developer account; your use of Apple services is governed by Apple's terms and privacy policy. Purchases are processed by our payment provider, and our website may use third-party analytics. These providers only receive the limited data necessary to provide their service.
Data Storage and Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information we hold. Data on your machine, including your App Store Connect key, stays on your machine and under your control. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to safeguard your information.
Data Retention
We retain information only as long as necessary for the purposes described here or as required by law.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal information, and to object to certain processing. International Users
We are based in the United States. If you use the Services from outside the U.S., your information may be processed in the U.S.
